Today we celebrated Tyler’s NINTH Birthday!!! And his Milestone of THREE (3) Years as a Lockhead.
It’s been a little while since we’ve visited here, but we’ve been updating the world with highlights of Tyler’s life through FaceBook.
The Garden Hotel is half a world away but it seems like we just checked out on our way home with Tyler, even though it’s been THREE years! We were able to celebrate his 6th Birthday while we were at the Garden, with the help of his enormous cake (Thanks to the Garden Hotel!).
Tyler is doing great and growing into a young man before our eyes. He’s starting the 2nd Grade in Oak Ridge Elementary School and really enjoys his school experience – and loves hanging with his classmates/friends.
We’re coming off a fun summer with tons of Adventures, notably trips to Michigan (to visit Grandma Wedder, Poppa, Uncle Mark, and his cousins); Florida (to visit Grandmom Lockhead, PopPop, Uncle Curt and Aunt Meg, and cousin Malissa; and Colorado/Wyoming. We did some fishing and visited Kennedy Space Center, Daytona Beach, Legoland (Thanks Malissa), RockyMountain National Park, Jackson Hole and Grand Teton National Park. We even panned for Gold!
Tyler has also had the chance to visit Mexico TWICE during our last two Spring Break vacations.
Also, Tyler has grown comfortably into his role as BIG BROTHER to our new addition Zachary, who joined our Family in November of 2018. He and Zachary have bonded very well!
We’re very excited to see what NINE has in store for Tyler!
